This section houses new big size maps (called as MegaMaps) for use in Red Alert Aftermath multiplayer games against the computer in Skirmish mode or against other human opponents. Most of the maps are in zipfiles to make it easier and faster to download.
Note: some maps have alterations built in to change characteristics of some units / structures!

To use these maps:
Click on the filename of the map zipfile you want and choose a place to download it on your hard drive. If the map has a .mpr extension instead of a .zip extension then you need to download it by clicking on the link. Unzip the map(s) you want to your main Red Alert directory (usually C:\WESTWOOD\REDALERT).
This can be done using Winzip which can be downloaded for a free trial period.

This is not necessary for maps which are not zipped up (ie those which already have a .mpr extension). You can now start up Red Alert and choose the map(s) to play on from the list of maps in the multiplayer settings. Note, if you have several maps in your directory, Red Alert can take longer to load up (although it does not affect the gameplay). If you wish to remove maps simply delete or rename files ending with a .mpr extension.

Description: The level is surrounded with a lot of water so you can make ships. You might want to know why the icons are screwed up for some new units, don't worry, there's nothing wrong and it wont crash your system. To know which unit is which, just keep the cursor near the icon and it will tell you. There's an exception to this, there will be two squares that both say civillian, the first one is the Demo-Civillian the other is Chan. If you start near a village, DON'T KILL THE CIVILLIANS, SOME OF THEM ARE DEMO CIVILLIANS AND WILL CREATE A CHAIN REACTION NUKE BLOWING NEARLY YOUR WHOLE BASE!!!!!!!!!!

Description: The map is a 4 cell area on the "mega map" design. each player starts in one cell near the middle of the edge of your cell area. You have a sealed bluff over looking the next players area, but far from his base. There is only one way in or out of your area, but you won't be able to build your stuff out to it until the gems are cleared, which offers the best opportunities for the other players to attack constantly. The only way to blockade the door is to use massive amounts of tanks! This map comes with its own Rules.ini, included with this map and text file. These rules help the AI players achieve a great level of difficulty, possibly ever undefeatable, as long as you don't constantly nuke their bases or destroy their Construction Yard(s). These rules has been tested thoroughly, but only on a 166 mhz computer, so I can't say that they won't freeze your computer if you pass the absolute heap maximum of units and structures allocated for a skirmish mode game.
